# Superseded sessions

Valid measurements of a build that no longer exists. Kept, and excluded from every figure.

## axium*.pre-guard.jsonl

Axium was patched during the study, at the author's direction, after the sweep found it overwriting a file with a fresh body and silently removing three functions the file already had.

The rule added: a whole-file write that would remove definitions the file already has is refused, naming patch_file and append_file, with an explicit `replace` flag for a deliberate full rewrite.

Everything in this directory was measured before that rule existed. The paper reports the patched build only, and says so. The unpatched sessions stay here because the defect they found is a finding, and because a benchmark that quietly reruns a losing arm is reporting a selection.
